Covington, GA – Serious Car Crash at GA-138 & Pirklefield Dr
Covington, GA (November 9, 2021) – On Tuesday evening, November 9, a serious car crash took place at an intersection in Covington.
According to Walton County officials, the accident happened at the intersection of GA-138 and Pirklefield Drive. Two or more vehicles were traveling in the area when they allegedly entered the intersection at the same time. The vehicles forcefully collided with each other and sustained extensive damages. Tow trucks had to remove the vehicles from the road.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those in need. One or more victims were injured as a result of the accident. The injured victims were hospitalized, though their conditions are not yet known.
Due to the severity of the accident, the roadway was completely blocked in the area of the intersection for some time.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the circumstances of the collision continues.
